I am posting the following for our Great Comrade: George Crocco! He is doing the right thing! HE IS RUNNING FOR HIS BOARD!
Hi guys....just an fyi.... See attached as I'm running for the board at Canyon Willow, Pecos. It's time for a change there as you already know by speaking to you on this matter. Sam, thank you for your information via e mails.......I'm using some of your stuff. Also, Johnathon....thank you as well for support and info. If you elect me to the Board of Directors of Canyon Willow Pecos, I intend to be a team player for the betterment of our community. By working together in an amicable way we can assure that our property values will improve and that will be a win, win for all. I wish to be part of the solution of problems that arise and get our community back on line. I will work hard and smart to get things done that have not been properly accomplished in the past. Here is my theory. It’s just an opinion, of course.
Some people are like children. You know how children are? They are always pushing the limits. You put up barriers, and tell them, don’t step across this line or there will be a consequence. The more of a limit-pusher the child is, the more important it is to have consequences.
Here is what you say to children: Behave yourself because I am keeping an eye on you, and if you don’t behave, you’re going to get it.
Some children accept that, and become civilized at a young age. Some other children find delight in finding new ways to push the limits. Those are the ones you have to keep an eye on.
Now, imagine these limit-pushing children are all grown up, and they have infiltrated the HOA industry, and they are taking over. Just imagine, what if these spoiled children managed to change the rules in such a way that there were no limits, no barriers, and no consequences.
And then they went Yippee! Jobs for everybody! Jobs for lawyers, realtors, property managers, lobbyists, arbitrators, and civil servants. Paychecks for everyone, and it’s all self-funded by the fines we collect.
If that is what is going on, if the system has been over-run by limit-pushing children, then it is time for the rest of us to step in and start talking about consequences.
